The matter was turned over to Greg Bokelman the Manager who I personally met with and explained the situation. I called immediately called Reflection Bay and reported the matter. Three days later at my next outing I reached for my range finder in it's normal pouch and saw it was missing I then searched the entire bag and found no range finder. My Bushnell Tour V6 range finder was attached to the cart bag strap when he pulled off. As we were walking away the cart attendant said I'll leave your clubs up front and put them at the front door to club house. Then players return to carts to finalize any clean up and take clubs to car or store. As tournament players we are required to go immediately to scoring and turn in score cards, about a 5 - 10 minute procedure. I said no for each offer as we were not done putting things away. He started cleaning our clubs and several times asked to drive our clubs up front. I wish Reflection Bay was more forthcoming and honest about the course.Īfter an SNGA golf tournament on 4-12-16 we pulled up to the cart return area where a young teenage boy on staff holding a wet towel met my partner and I. Do yourself a favor and go play at Paiute which is in amazing condition. Due to all this, my wife and I lost half-a-day just from driving alone. It makes me sad as I have fond memories of it but it seems that the course is not a priority anymore. That is unfortunate but that is no reason to be deceiving to the public. The manager said they are closing for over-seeding in a few weeks (which seemed like some justification for still being open and charging full price) and explained the course has a fungus on it due to the unusual humidity. I am very disappointed that the course would be so deceptive as the employees, including the manager I spoke to agreed the course was in terrible shape. Needless to say, we played the first two holes (both fairways and greens were in awful shape) and I ended up getting a full refund back. Again, I did not want to make any judgement as it could have been a fluke. When my wife and I were driving to the first tee, we both noticed that the practice putting greens were both completely burned out and in awful shape. Again, I did not want to over-react and hit some balls to warm-up. BUT.when we arrived at the hitting net, the range balls were in awful, terrible condition. The club house is still amazing to walk into. Please note that the course is still charging green fees at full price. I figured that it was not that big of a deal and made the tee time anyway. I was somewhat disappointed by this as they did have a full driving range back in 2015. I did read on the website that there is no driving range, only a 40 yard hitting net. The cost was pretty decent (about $150.00) for both of us which I was expecting as it is supposed to be a higher-end course. I still had a good time playing the course.Īugust 2017- My wife and I have been planning this trip for two years and I was eager to go back once again. The conditions were amazing and was somewhat more difficult due to the housing community that is built around the course now. I recently played there again in 2015 and the course was still amazing. The course was tough but fair and in impeccable condition. I played out here in 2000 with my family and it was amazing. The only reason I have (2) two stars is because I was able to get my money back with little resistance.
